Use the ICC Setttings tab of the Process Settings dialog box to set up the color management that this hot folder should apply.

When the Use ICC Color Management option is selected in this dialog box, the proofer uses ICC profiles to manage color (available if you're running the Open Connectivity Kit). To make this type of color management work, the proofer needs to know the ICC profiles that describe the input color space (where and how the file was created), the output color space (in this case, the proofer space), and the simulation space (the press or industry standard that you want to simulate).


Proofer Color Space—ICC profile that describes the proofer color space. The default changes, depending on the Media Type that you chose for this hot folder or virtual proofer. Use a custom profile only if it was created specifically for the proofer and media type. To customize this setting, click Advanced.


Input File Color Space—Predefined color set that describes common input color spaces for given regions and press configurations. A color set is a combination of ICC profile for the RGB and CMYK elements in a file. The default is based on the media configuration setting. For example, if you choose Pro Publication SM285 media, the system automatically selects the US Web Coated SWOP color set, which describes the CMYK elements of the input file with the USWebCoatedSWOP.icc profile and describes the RGB elements of the input file with the AdobeRGB1998.icc profile. To change to a different color set, choose another from the Input Color Space list. To create a custom color set, click Advanced.


Simulation Color Space—Predefined color set that describes the color space (usually a press configuration) that you are attempting to align to. Selecting the Use Simulation Color Space box turns the Simulation color management on and off. To customize this setting, click Advanced.
