Ignore Embedded Profiles
Tells the system not to use any profiles that are embedded in the input file—but instead to use the profiles that are specified in the Input File Color Space Advanced dialog box
CMYK contone images and vector graphics
ICC Handling
Specifies whether to use ICC Profiles, DeviceLink profiles, or no profiles (None), to transform CMYK images
Source Profile
Describes the color space that was used to create the CMYK elements in the input file.
Rendering Intent
Defines how to transform the input file either perceptually or relatively. Select Perceptual if the input file has many colors outside the gamut of the final output (proofer or simulation space). Select Relative, if there are few colors outside the gamut of the final output (proofer or simulation space).
Preserve Black Channel
Preserves the black color recipe of the input file during the color transformation. Clearing this option allows the black channel to be transformed along with all other color channels. Available only when ICC Handling is set to ICC Profiles.
RGB contone images and vector graphics
ICC Handling
Specifies whether to use ICC Profiles, DeviceLink profiles, or Fail if RGB Images in File
Source Profile
Specifies a profile that describes the color space that is used to create the RGB elements in the input file.
For RGB input files, the software first converts RGB input files to the RGB color space that is identified for the source profile. The software then converts the input files to the CMYK color space that is defined by the Simulation ICC Profile that is selected in the Simulation Color Space Advanced dialog box.
Rendering Intent
Defines how to transform the input file either perceptually or relatively. Select Perceptual if the input file has many colors outside the gamut of the final output (proofer or simulation space). Select Relative if there are few colors outside the gamut of the final output (proofer or simulation space).
Overprinting objects
Raster Color Management
Specifies that all objects are to be color managed after they are RIPed, including objects with an overprint flag. It is recommended that you leave the Raster Color Management check box selected.
When you clear the Raster Color Management check box, objects with an overprint flag are not color managed after RIPing; however, all other objects are color managed.
PDF X/3
Use Embedded Output Profile in PDF X/3 Files
Uses the output profile that is embedded in any PDF X/3 files. By default, the check box is cleared.
Buttons
Reset
Resets the proofer profile to the default profile. The default profile is based on the media type for the hot folder or virtual printer.
Returns settings to default. Default is based on the Input File Color Space setting on the ICC Settings tab.
