ICC color management
The Simulation Color Space Advanced dialog box enables you to change the color management settings (ICC profiles, rendering intents, and so on), of the color space that you are trying to simulate. The proofing system automatically configures this dialog box according to the color set that you selected in the Simulation Color Space list on the ICC Settings tab.
The rendering intent selected in the software will not override the rendering intent of the device link. All non-CMYK objects, such as L*a*b* spot colors, will use the selected rendering intent when transformed to the proofer color space.
If you choose to customize these settings, keep in mind that you can use either DeviceLink profiles and an ICC profile, or just one ICC profile. If you use just one ICC profile, the system automatically uses the profile that is specified in the proofer color space to transform the color into the gamut of the proofer for a given media type.
To return to the default settings, click Reset.
Halftone emulation
The Simulation Color Space Advanced dialog box enables you to emulate halftone screens to predict how they will print on press.
The halftone emulation feature is available only for Matchprint Inkjet proofers; Epson Stylus Pro printers are required to use media configurations with certain resolutions.
Note: You cannot use the halftone emulation feature with color gradation and separated, screened (halftone) input files.
