Used for selecting objects, the Selection Tool and the Direct Selection tool, are similar to the corresponding tools in Adobe Illustrator. They are used to check selected objects, but cannot be used for moving or editing the objects.
- Launch the Adobe Illustrator software and open the document you want to work with.
- In the Adobe Illustrator tool bar, select the Object Selection Tool or the Direct Selection Tool from the Direct Selection group.
