In this discussion we will go a bit deeper into the tools available to help understand the Export function.
NOTE: This is a generic introduction to help familiarize yourself with the core components available.
Items that are specific to a particular Dashboard will be discussed in greater detail within each specific Analytic offering.
Using the Export function extends the use of Decision Analytics .
By effective use of the Dashboards and the Filters you can truly hone in on the data you need, when you need it. Now how do you leverage that information? By using the Export function it enables you to take that information beyond a chart or table to other processes or merged data for other means.
Choose how you want the data to be formed:
- Summarized - all the data formed in the dashboard
- Underlying - goes deeper into the data
File format:
- XLSX - (Excel) gives you a max data file of 150,000 rows of detail!
- CSV - smaller number of rows in a comma separated file
Click Export. Cancel to leave dialog.
This will generate the file within your web browser. Depending on your browser settings could determine where the file is saved.
