  1. If it is not already open, start the Pandora software.
  2. Perform one of the following actions:
    • From the File menu, select New.
    • In the Pandora toolbar, click the New icon: 
  3. In the Select Job Template dialog box, click None.
  4. From your Pandora (Mac) or Edit (Windows) menu, select Preferences.
  5. On the Substrate tab, select StepRepeat, configure these settings, and click OK:
    • Left/right margins = 1 in.
    • Top/bottom margins = 1.5 in.
    • Select Center StepRepeat on substrate
    • Grain = short
    • Units = inches
    • Select Round to nearest, with 0.004 in. and rounding = Up
       
       
  6. In the job properties view, select the Layout tab .
  7. In the Work Style area, select Perfector.
  8. In the job properties view, select the Content tab .
  9. From your Finder window (Mac) or Windows Explorer (Windows), locate the Hungry Cat Label artwork and drag both files to the Content tab:
    • Hungry Cat Label 1 Front.pdf
    • Hungry Cat Label 1 Back.pdf
  10. Drag Hungry Cat Label 1 Front.pdf to the layout window.
  11. Select the StepRepeat tool  and click and hold on to the artwork that you just placed in the layout window. Drag the artwork to create a Step and Repeat that is 2 across and 5 high.
    When the Create Substrate dialog box appears, click Yes

  12. From the Pandora toolbar, select the Flip Side tool
    The layout view now displays the back side of the artwork. 
  13. Click the Overlap tool , and note that all the horizontal and vertical bleeds are selected.
  14. From the Object menu, select Resolve Rectangular Bleeds.
    Both sides will be resolved at the same time. 
  15. Using the selection tool , select the grid for the Step and Repeat that was created.
  16. Drag the Hungry Cat Label 1 Back.pdf artwork to the layout.
    This will automatically snap the back side artwork to the Step and Repeat. 
  17. From the Window menu, select Show Marks palette.
  18. In the SmartMarks folder, locate these files and drag the marks to the layout:
    • CB_6-color_2-tier.pdf
    • SGL_Sideguide_Wedge.pdf
    • SGR_Sideguide_Wedge.pdf 
  19. Select the Layout tab, slide the transparency slider for the Current Side, and notice the alignment of the front and back sides.
     
  20. Use the procedure from Activity 3, Objective 5 to save the file and create PDF output, using Activity Six Perfector as the file name.
  21. Open the PDF file and proof the final layout. 
  22. Close the layout window.
