Use the Digital Submit software to create and send digital print orders to digital press operators.
The Digital Submit software is typically used by customer service representatives (CSRs) who receive print orders.
Each digital print order (known as a document) contains the input files and a JDF template with the customer order information. Documents are sent to the Digital Direct software, where the digital press operator can schedule documents for printing.

In Digital Submit, you can:

  • Create a Prinergy job to hold your documents.
  • Use input files from any location. Files do not need to be on a Prinergy server or job volume.
  • Identify a specific digital front end for a job
  • Use automation rules (Rules-Based Automation) to send jobs for printing
  • Easily find and select JDF templates using a browser that can filter templates by attribute
  • Open the editor for a JDF template in one click, regardless of whether the template is for Creo, Kodak, or HP DFEs

Note: You can't add input files to an existing Prinergy job. If you need to add files to an existing job, set up hot folders, use job process templates, or do imposition or color management, you should use Workshop to create jobs. Digital Submit is designed for simple workflows that do not require Workshop.
