After you install the Prinergy client software, and other software on client computers, you must perform updates when new software is available on the Prinergy server.

If the Workshop version on client computers is different than the Workshop version on the Prinergy primary server, Workshop updates automatically. You can also update Workshop and other software by running the installer.

  •  Automatically—when you start Workshop and the software version on the client computer is different than the Workshop version on the Prinergy primary server, the Synchronize Workshop dialog box appears, and you must synchronize the client computer with the Prinergy server before you can use Workshop. When you click Yes to synchronize, the Workshop Installer Wizard starts and guides you through the update. See Updating Workshop on the client.
  • Manually—when you use the installer to perform updates, in the Choose Install Set dialog box, you must select all of the software that you want to install on the client computer. The installer removes all earlier versions before installing the new versions of software that you selected. This ensures that the latest version of software is installed on the client computer.
