ThermoFlex Wide II devices are capable of imaging in-the-round. Imaging in-the-round refers to the imaging of a continuous sleeve of polymer material, or a plate that is pre-mounted to a sleeve (plate-on-sleeve). After imaging, the sleeve is mounted directly on the press. The flexo plate is only mounted once, so the only distortion compensation required is for the initial imaging of the sleeve.
When imaging in-the-round, you do not need to enter distortion compensation. Imaging compensation is handled transparently by the ThermoFlex Wide II firmware.
For information on screening files for seamless imaging on the ThermoFlex Wide II, see Configuring seamless screening. For more information on preparing files for imaging in-the-round, see the Sleeve Toolkit User Guide (717-00103A).
