In this task, you will select an event that will be used as a trigger for your rule. An event is an incident or an outcome that can happen in a Prinergy workflow.

  1. On the Events tab, locate Input File Added:
    Prinergy Events > Input File Events > Input File Added
  2. Drag the event to the Rule Builder workspace. This event will start the rule.
    When you drag the Input File Added event to the workspace, an action placeholder is displayed as a green box surrounding the Action? icon. This is where you will assign an action item for the rule. An action determines what the input file does after it is added to a job.
