The Double-Take software is used to replicate Prinergy job data on tertiary servers.
If your Prinergy system stores job data on tertiary servers, you can use the Job Data Replication option of your Prinergy software to configure a redundant tertiary server for backup protection for the regular tertiary server. The replication work is done by the Double-Take software, not by the Hot Standby software.
When your Hot Standby system is configured for job data failover, a redundant backup tertiary server monitors the original tertiary server. If the monitored tertiary server fails, the backup tertiary server takes over its IP address and host name.
