Before the Prinergy system can start processing jobs in failover mode, you must fail over to the Hot Standby server by switching it to primary server mode, and update the JTPs, process templates, mark sets, ICC profiles, and fonts.

  • Failing over to the Hot Standby server—switch the Hot Standby secondary server to operate as the Prinergy primary server.
  • Updating the Hot Standby setup—before the Prinergy system can start processing jobs in failover mode, you must check and update the failover preparations.
  • Updating the Workshop software—the first time that you log on to a Prinergy Workshop client workstation after the system is switched to Hot Standby failover mode, you must change the server selection.
  • Verifying system operation—after you have switched to Hot Standby failover mode and updated the configuration on the Hot Standby server, check that the system runs correctly.
