You can zoom in and out in several different ways to achieve the view you want.

To do this

Take this action

To see the image at a particular zoom level (from 8:1 to 1:512)

Select the particular zoom level from the Zoom menu or use the shortcut key for that zoom level, if a shortcut key is available.

To zoom in one level at a time

From the Zoom menu, select Zoom In:

  • In Mac OS, press + (plus sign).
  • In Windows, press Ctrl + (plus sign).

Or

From the Tools menu, select Zoom tool .

Move the magnifying glass to the area you want to zoom in on, and click.

When the other tools are active:

  • In Mac OS, hold down the key to enable zooming in.
  • In Windows, hold down Ctrl to enable zooming in.

To zoom out one level at a time

From the Zoom menu, select Zoom Out:

  • In Mac OS, press – (minus sign).
  • In Windows, press Ctrl – (minus sign).

Or

From the Tools menu, select Zoom tool, and hold down the shift key .
Move the magnifying glass to the area you want to zoom out on, and click.

When the other tools are active:

  • In Mac OS, hold down the and shift to enable zooming out.
  • In Windows, hold down Ctrl+shift to enable zooming out.

To fit the entire image into the window

From the Zoom menu, select Fit To Window:

  • In Mac OS, press 0.
  • In Windows, press Ctrl+0.

You can set the navigation preferences so that the image will fit to the window whenever a job opens.
