The following information provides background information about the processes that occur when you create and submit a job to a digital press.
When you submit files to a digital press target or automated production workflow target, you create:
- A digital print job that contains documents. A document is created for each input file added to the digital print job.
- Each digital print job has a JDF template.
- A Prinergy job is created containing the input files.
The digital print job is available in Prinergy Digital Direct. The Prinergy job is accessible in Prinergy Workshop if content processing is required.
The digital press operator uses Digital Direct to determine which digital press of the type that you specified will actually be used to print the document.
