When you set up a JDF template for a Xerox press, make sure that you specify the correct protocol in the Device Type box.
- Open the JDF Overrides dialog box from one of the following locations:
- Digital Submit—right-click a Xerox digital press, and select New Job Submission. In the New Job Submission dialog box, click the Press Settings tab, and choose a JDF template for Xerox presses. On the Press Settings tab, click Edit.
- Digital Direct—right-click a document (digital print job), and select Change Target. In the Retarget dialog box, choose a JDF template for Xerox presses. In the Retarget dialog box, click Edit.
- Workshop—right-click one or more PDF files, and select Submit to Digital Direct. In the Submit to Digital Print dialog box, click the Press Settings tab, and select a JDF template for Xerox presses. On the Press Settings tab, click Edit.
In the JDF Overrides dialog box, in the Device Specific Settings section, in the Device Type box, specify a protocol according to the following table:
