When you set up a JDF template for a Xerox press, make sure that you specify the correct protocol in the Device Type box.

1. Open the JDF Overrides dialog box from one of the following locations:
   • Digital Submit—right-click a Xerox digital press, and select New Job Submission. In the New Job Submission dialog box, click the Press Settings tab, and choose a JDF template for Xerox presses. On the Press Settings tab, click Edit.
   • Digital Direct—right-click a document (digital print job), and select Change Target. In the Retarget dialog box, choose a JDF template for Xerox presses. In the Retarget dialog box, click Edit.
   • Workshop—right-click one or more PDF files, and select Submit to Digital Direct. In the Submit to Digital Print dialog box, click the Press Settings tab, and select a JDF template for Xerox presses. On the Press Settings tab, click Edit.

2. In the JDF Overrides dialog box, in the Device Specific Settings section, in the Device Type box, specify a protocol according to the following table:
