  1. If the Geometry palette is not currently shown, select Window > Show Geometry Palette.
  2. Click the object to select it.
  3. On the Geometry palette diagram, click the reference point to which you want to anchor the scaled version of the object.
  4. In the % boxes on the Geometry palette, type the horizontal and vertical percentage to which you want to scale the object. For example, to reduce the scale to 90%, type 90; to increase the scale to 110%, type 110. You can also leave the default number (100) and type a calculation after it (for example, for 90, type 100-10).
  5. Press Enter.

Notice that the scaling you apply is also reflected in horizontal and vertical size figures on the Geometry palette.
