If the spot colors in your composite input files do not match the spot colors that you need for output:

  1. See Creating a refine to PDF process template. In the Spot Color Handling section select Don't Map Spot Colors.
  2. See Creating process templates--Output from PDF if your input files are flat PostScript or output from imposition if your input files use an imposition file:
    • To output to a CMYK device (for example a conventional color proofer), in the Render section, in the Spot Color Handling list, select Convert separations to process.
    • To output separations in the Render section, in the Spot Color Handling list, select Output separately.
  3. See Customizing the template palette, making sure in the Customize Template Palette dialog box to select the refine to PDF and output from Imposition process templates you created in steps 1 and 2.
  4. See Submitting files to the template palette.
  5. Once Prinergy Evo creates the refined PDF, submit the PDF to the output Template Palette.
  6. In the Process Start dialog box, click Colors to manually map colors. For more information, see Manually mapping colors.
  7. In the Color Mapping dialog box, in the Action list, select Leave Untouched for each color that you want as a final separation.
  8. In the Action list, select Convert to Process for each page or mark spot color to print with a final separation.
  9. Click Go to submit the file for proofing or platemaking.
