If your composite input files contain spot colors that are not required for proof, film, or plate output, follow the procedure below for processing an input file to proof, film, or plate.

  1. See Creating a refine to PDF process template.
  2. In the Spot Colors Handling section Spot Color Handling box, select Map All Spot Colors to Process.
  3. See Creating process templates.
  4. See Customizing the template palette, making sure that in the Customize Template Palette dialog box, you select the refine to PDF and output from imposition process templates created in steps 1 and 2.
  5. See Submitting files to the template palette.
  6. Open the resulting PDF pages in Acrobat software, and check to ensure that spot colors don't exist.
  7. Using your imposition software (for example, Preps) and the PDF pages Prinergy Evo has created, check the imposition plan page positions.
  8. Submitting files via the template palette (PJTF, or JDF) to the output imposition Template Palette.
  9. In the Process Start dialog box, click Colors to to manually map colors. For more information, see Manually mapping colors.
  10. Click Go to submit the file for proofing or platemaking.
