Manually setting up Internet Explorer security settings

To receive the latest automatic software updates and license keys for the Prinergy Evo software, you must be using Internet Explorer 7 or later. In addition, you must set up the security settings in Internet Explorer to receive these updates. If you don't wish to manually change these settings, Prinergy Evo can automatically change them. To update your license key, see Managing license keys.

1. Start Internet Explorer.
2. From the Tools menu, select Internet Options.
3. Click the Security tab.
4. Click the Trusted sites icon.
5. Click Custom Level.

6. Use the following table to configure the settings in the Security Settings dialog box.

   To configure this...	Do this...
   Active Scripting	Under Active Scripting, click Enable. The Updates InstallShield web site, which facilitates any downloads from the eCentral portal, uses Active Scripting to download and install Prinergy Evo updates.
   ActiveX controls	Under Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting, click Enable. The Updates InstallShield web site uses an ActiveX control to download and install Prinergy Evo updates.
   Download signed ActiveX controls	Under Download signed ActiveX controls, click Enable. The Updates InstallShield web site uses an ActiveX control to download and install Prinergy Evo updates.
   Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins	Under Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins, click Enable. The Updates InstallShield web site uses an ActiveX control to download and install Prinergy Evo updates.

7. Click OK.
8. In the Internet Options dialog box, click Trusted sites.
9. Click Sites.
10. In the Trusted Sites dialog box, ensure Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone is not checked.
11. In the Add this Web site to the zone box, type .kodak.com and click *Add.
12. In the same box, type updates.InstallShield.com and click Add.
13. Click OK.
14. Click OK again to finish configuring the security settings.
