If you are having system problems, the following describes the escalation steps recommended to recover your Prinergy Evo system and to start processing files again. Each step is an incremental step on top of the previous step. For example, if your system problem is not solved in step 1, complete step 2. If your system problem is not solved in step 2, complete step 3, and so on.

  1. Restart Prinergy Evo. For more information, see Restarting Prinergy Evo.
  2. If you are still having system problems:
    1. Stop the Prinergy Evo Server software. For more information, see Stopping Prinergy Evo server software.
    2. Once Prinergy Evo Server has stopped from your Windows desktop Start menu, select Shutdown.
    3. In the Shutdown dialog box What do you want your computer to do list, select Restart to restart your Prinergy Evo server computer and software.
  3. If you are still having system problems, one or more of your data files has been corrupted. The Prinergy Evo Administrator dialog box, Tools tab, Reset Evo button provides several ways to reset your Prinergy Evo system.
  4. In the How severe should this reset of Prinergy Evo be list, select Discard all incomplete processes.
    How severe should this reset of Prinergy Evo be?

    Resets your Prinergy Evo system. There are three options:
    • Level 1: Discard all incomplete (active and queued) processes: Select to remove the current active processes and reset Prinergy Evo software with all its system and processes history and configurations. You must resubmit all current active processes again.
    • Level 2: Discard all processes (active, queued, and historical) and workflows: Select to remove all current active processes and system and process history. Prinergy Evo software resets to the last saved system configurations.
    • Level 3: Restore factory configurations: Select to remove all processes, history, and configurations and reset Prinergy Evo software back to the factory configuration.
  5. If discarding all incomplete processes does not fix Prinergy Evo software select Discard all processes, active, queued, and historical.
  6. If discarding all processes, active, queued, and historical, does not fix Prinergy Evo software, restore your Prinergy Evo system back to factory configurations and restore your saved system configurations.
    1. In the How severe should this reset of Prinergy Evo be list select Restore factory configuration.
    2. Restore your Prinergy Evo system configurations. You must have previously saved your system configurations via the Save/Restore tab in the Prinergy Evo Administrator dialog box in order to complete this step. For more information, see Restoring Prinergy Evo system configurations.
  7. If resetting the Prinergy Evo system back to factory settings and restoring your saved configurations does not fix the problem, one or more of your system files has been corrupted. You must reinstall your Prinergy Evo system.
  8. If the problem persists, contact your service representative.
