Raster color management calculates the correct color balance for each pixel in a file. This is a very processor-intense activity and can significantly affect file throughput speed. Raster color management only works with continuous tone images. It does not work for screened output. It is suitable for proofing but not for plating.

  1. Create an output process template.
  2. From the Output To list, select an appropriate format.
  3. In the Match Colors section, select the Overprint Handling. By default, overprint handling is disabled. This provides faster file throughput but provides less accurate color matching in overprinted areas. Select the Overprint Handling check box to enable the raster or vector color manager.
  4. From the Method list, select Raster.
  5. Save the process template.
