When upgrading the primary server running on Windows 2016 operating system with Double-Take 8.2, perform the tasks listed in the specified order.
- Disconnect the Prinergy DB replication job on the primary server:
- Open Double-Take Console: Go to Start > All Applications > Double-Take Console, or double-click Console UI.exe in C:\Program Files\Vision Solutions\Double-Take\Console.
- Record licenses.
- From the Go menu, select Manage Jobs.
- Right-click the PrinergyDb job and select Stop.
- Upgrade the primary server.
- Upgrade the secondary (failover) server.
- Reconnect the PrinergyDB replication job:
- On the primary server, open Double-Take Console: Go to Start > All Applications > Double-Take Console, or double-click Console UI.exe in C:\Program Files\Vision Solutions\Double-Take\Console.
- From the Go menu, select Manage Jobs.
- Right-click on each of the jobs, PrinergyDB & PrinergyDBRestore, and delete.

- Page 13 or under header: Creating an Oracle database replication set, create new jobs
- Configure both jobs, PrinergyDB & PrinergyDBRestore. Implement instruction at bottom of page 15 or under header: Configure database replication in Double-Take Console – Mirror, Verify & Orphaned File / Path Mapping)
- Click OK to save
Important reminder: do not start PrinergyDBRestore !!!!!!!!!
