Note: AppleTalk is not supported by Microsoft Windows Server 2008. It may still be installed using a third-party AppleTalk protocol software, and used for font downloading, AFP sharing, and setting up virtual printers.

  1. If you do not have AdobePS print driver, download the install software from the Downloads page at http://www.adobe.com.
  2. Double-click the AdobePS installation software file.
    Note:
    You need to run the AdobePS installer each time you want to create an AdobePS print driver.
  3. In the Printer Connection Type dialog box, select the It is connected to your network (Network Printer) option.
  4. In the Network Path dialog box, click Browse.
  5. In the Browse for a Network Printer dialog box, browse for and select the printer you added to share Prinergy Evo's virtual printer ports. Click Next.
  6. An Error dialog box appears with the message: The network printer is not using the Adobe driver, if you know the type of the selected printer. Click Yes.
  7. In the Browse for Printer dialog box, browse for and select Prinergy Refiner PPD. Default location: windows_directory:\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86\3.
  8. Complete the remaining wizard dialog boxes as required.
  9. Click Install to install the Prinergy Refiner PPD Adobe PS print driver.
  10. From your desktop software, print using the AdobePS virtual printer driver you have created. Do not print to file.

The virtual printer submits the file to Prinergy Evo, where it is automatically processed using the virtual printer's attached process template.
