Note: The proxy setting for Java should allow access to the Prinergy server, because Workshop is using the proxy settings when determining how to access the Prinergy server. If java proxy settings is set to Use browser settings, the browser proxy settings should allow access to the Prinergy server.

After installing Workshop on client computers, confirm that the installation was successful.
For troubleshooting information, visit Kodak at http://graphics.kodak.com/ or log on to Kodak Partner Place at https://partnerplace.kodak.com/. If you need additional support, contact your service representative.

  1. Start Workshop on the client computer, and perform one of the following actions:
    • If no errors appear, go to step 3 and test the software that you installed.
    • If an error appears, check the TCP/IP settings on your workstation and ensure that you can connect to the server's file shares.
    • If you need to troubleshoot the installation, go to step 2.
  2. To review the installer log files, go to /Application/Kodak/Prinergy on a Mac computer or go to C:\Program Files\Kodak\Prinergy on a Windows computer.
    • The Workshop_InstallLog.log file is generated at the end of the installation and displays the error status of each step performed.
    • The Workshop_InstallDebug.log file contains all of the stdout and stderr streams from the installer.
  3. Log on to Workshop using a valid user name and password.
  4. In Job Finder, create a new job and add an input file.
  5. Refine the input file.
  6. In Job Manager, select File > New Layout, and verify that the imposition software starts.
  7. After the file is refined, double-click the page (or 1-up artwork) in Workshop to start Acrobat and open the page.
  8. Generate a loose page proof output, start the Prinergy VPS software, and preview the file.
  9. In Acrobat, confirm that plug-ins are visible on the toolbar, and start the plug-ins.
