    It enables you to “gang” artwork to increase output quantities and decrease time lines.

  2. What two methods can be used to position a group of stepped and repeated objects on a substrate?

    Position in the Step & Repeat dialog box and the X and Y coordinates in the Geometry palette.

  3. What is the purpose of staggering artwork on a substrate?

    To avoid the press or cylinder “bounce” that occurs when gaps in the layout cause dimples in the paper that do not properly accept ink.

  4. How do you move a SmartMark once added to a layout?

    To manually move a SmartMark, you need to:
    a. Select the SmartMark.
    b. From the Object menu, select Unlock.
    c. Move the mark to the desired placement position.

  5. How do you account for images stretching on press?

    By applying Distortion Compensation, it is possible to adjust both horizontal and/or vertical percentages on the Output Setup tab.
