Objective 3—Select the Preferences required for the activities

Before starting the activities in this guide, select the preferences specified in this procedure. This ensures predictable results when completing these activities. When you have completed the training, you can change the preferences to suit your production needs.

1. Perform one of the following actions:
   • (Macintosh) From the Pandora menu, select Preferences.
   • (Windows) From the Edit menu, select Preferences.
2. In the Preferences dialog box, click the General tab. In the Locale area, select the language you want to use.
3. In the Units of measure list, select either inches or millimeters.
4. Keep all other selections at the default settings and click OK.
   
5. Click the Die Settings tab. 
6. In the Bleed area, in the Bleed margins box, enter either 0.125 in. or 3.175 mm.
7. Keep all other selections at the default settings and click OK.
   
   
   
8. Click the Substrate tab.
9. Keep all selections at the default settings.
   
10. Click the Marks tab.
11. In the Colors box, type: Gloss;Die Line;Varnish and click OK.
