Column headings

Name

Lists the names of the existing spot tint libraries

Enabled

Identifies when a spot tint library is enabled. Yes indicates enabled and No indicates disabled.

State

Identifies when a spot tint library is in a Ready state or an Error state. You can use a spot tint library with a state of Ready. You cannot use a spot tint library with a state of Error until you fix the error. Position the mouse over the error state to display a tooltip about the error.

Buttons

Enable

Enables the selected spot tint library. Enabled spot tint libraries appear in the Spot Tint Library list on the Spot Colors tab when you create a hot folder or virtual printer.

Disable

Disables the selected spot tint library. Disabled spot tint libraries do not appear for selection on the Spot Colors tab when you create a hot folder or virtual printer.

Note: When you disable a spot tint library that references an existing hot folder or virtual printer, the hot folder or virtual printer continues to use the disabled spot tint library until you select a different spot tint library. A warning appears in the hot folder or virtual printer.

Delete

Deletes the selected spot tint library. You must disable the spot tint library before you can delete it.

Edit

Opens the selected spot tint library for editing. You cannot edit a spot tint library when another client workstation has the spot tint library open for editing.

Export

Transfers the selected spot tint library from the server to a file that you can save to your workstation or to a location on the network. The exported file contains the spot tint library and its associated spot solid color library.

Import

Imports an exported spot tint library file. You can only import spot tint libraries that you export from Kodak Proofing Software. When you import the file, if a file of the same name already exists on the server and the files differ, the software creates a copy of the spot solid color library file and/or the spot tint library file with a unique name.

New

Creates a new spot tint library. It may take several minutes to create a spot tint library.

The amount of time required to create a spot tint library depends on the number of colors in the associated spot solid library. For example, some of the factory PANTONE spot solid libraries included with Kodak Proofing Software contain 9000 colors. When you create a spot tint library for a factory library that contains 9000 colors, it can take some time to generate the spot tint library. However, if you create a spot tint library for a user library that contains 20 colors, it takes much less time to create the spot tint library.

Summary

Displays a summary of the settings for the color library and any spot colors that you customized for the library.
