Typical import/export workflow

In an import/export workflow, one Prinergy system sets up a job for another Prinergy system to print. This is also called a hub-and-spoke workflow.

The import/export workflow involves these steps:

1. At the central Prinergy system, set up the job.
2. Generate proofs.
   You can generate proofs of loose pages and impositions. They can be soft proofs (viewed on the computer monitor) or hard proofs (printed).
3. Export the job and send the.zip file to the remote Prinergy system.
4. At the remote Prinergy system, import the .zip file.
5. Output to plate.
6. Optionally, at the hub or spoke, archive the job.
