Marquee selection allows you to more easily select several items at a time. The list of selected items appears in the Properties Editor (or Viewer).
You can choose the colors that objects, traps, borders, and highlights will appear in when you select them in the Properties Editor.
- Start a PDF Trap Viewer or PDF Trap Editor session.
- Depending on the item that you want to add to a selection list, click one of the following in the toolbar:
- Select Object button
- Select Trap button
- Select Border button
- To select several items at a time, hold down the mouse button and drag a selection rectangle (a marquee) completely around the items that you want.
An object fully inside the marquee is selected. All traps or borders inside or intersecting with the marquee are selected.
A selected item is highlighted with the color that you specified in the Preferences menu. An object is also outlined and overlaid with a pattern of bright dots. - To add selections to the list, hold the Shift key and draw a marquee around the items to be added.
- To remove selected objects from a selection list at any time, hold the Shift key and draw a marquee completely around the objects you want to drop from the list. Any selected objects inside the marquee are dropped from the list.
- Repeat steps 2, 4, and 5 until you are satisfied with your selection list.
Tip: You can select all object, traps, and/or borders by drawing a marquee around the entire page.
