A new Extended Printer JTP (JTP Type: Proofing Device Extended) is available in Prinergy 9.0. This JTP is intended to be used for all Proof and Final Plate output.

The new RIP is a 64-bit component, which is not compatible with the Adobe CPSI RIP included in the legacy Printer JTP, so CPSI is not available in the new Extended Printer JTP.

You can use the "Migration Output JTPs" utility to migrate all legacy JTPS to the new Proofing Device Extended type. This will retain all the JTP names and ensure that all your Process Templates will continue to work without the need to edit them, but now output will be using the new rip.

To migrate your Legacy (CPSI/APPE) Printer JTPs to the new Extended Printer JTP which uses the APPE 5.4, follow the instructions below:

Before starting the migration, be sure to take note of your Output JTP configuration in Prinergy Administrator. If something interrupts the process, you may have to rebuild the JTPs manually

1. Open Prinergy Administrator (Prinergy must be running and its recommended not to be performing Output during migration)
2. From the JTP Menu Choose "Migrate Output JTPs"
3. Note the message below that all Proofing Devices will be migrated to the Extended Printer JTP

4. Note: jobs set to use CPSI will fail to Output. Also note that if you are not satisfied with the Extended JTP you can revert back toi the legacy JTPs at a later date.

   

5. Click OK to continue with the migration
6. Print Console and Expose JTPs are not supported for use with the Extended Printer JTP. If detected, you will see the following message
7. Click OK to continue or Cancel to stop migration. If you choose OK, beware that your proofs and plates will be using different Rips and this is NOT recommended. Its recommended to first convert your Expose and Print Console JTPs to Tiff output (contact your regional service department).
8. It will take a few moment for the migration to complete, once you complete you will see this "Migration Complete" message:

If you'd like to revert to the legacy JTPs, use the following procedure:

1. In Prinergy Administrator from the JTP Menu, choose "Revert Output JTPs"
2. Click OK to the following message to start the reversion to the legacy JTPs

• Once complete you will see a message that Reversion finished.

Notes:

• Insite Proofing JTPs will also be migrated.
• Diamond Screening and Megadot Screening are always disabled in the Extended Proof JTP

Ein neuer erweiterter Drucker-JTP (JTP-Typ: erweitertes Proofing-Gerät) ist in Prinergy 9.0 verfügbar. Dieser JTP ist für die Ausgabe aller Proof- und Enddruckplatten vorgesehen.

8. Es dauert einige Minuten, bis die Migration abgeschlossen ist. Nach Abschluss der Migration wird folgende Meldung angezeigt:

Wenn Sie zu den älteren JTPs zurückkehren möchten, gehen Sie wie folgt vor:

1. Wählen Sie in Prinergy Administrator im JTP-Menü die Option „Ausgabe-JTPs zurücksetzen“.
2. Klicken Sie in der folgenden Meldung auf „OK“, um das Zurücksetzen zu starten und zu den alten JTPs zurückzukehren.

• Nach Abschluss des Programms wird eine Meldung angezeigt, dass das Zurücksetzen abgeschlossen ist.

Hinweise:

• InSite Proofing-JTPs werden ebenfalls migriert.
• Diamond- und Megadot-Rasterung sind im erweiterten Proof-JTP immer deaktiviert.

Un nuovo JTP per stampante esteso (tipo di JTP: dispositivo di prova esteso) è disponibile in Prinergy 9.0. Questo JTP è destinato all'uso per tutte le prove di stampa e l'output finale sulla lastra.

5. Fare clic su OK per continuare con la migrazione
6. Print Console e i JTP di esposizione non sono compatibili con il JTP per stampante esteso. Se rilevato, verrà visualizzato il seguente messaggio
7. Fare clic su OK per continuare o su Annulla per interrompere la migrazione. Se si sceglie OK, tenere presente che le prove di stampa e le lastre utilizzeranno diversi tipi di RIP, pertanto questa opzione NON è consigliata. Si consiglia di convertire prima i JTP di esposizione e Print Console in output TIFF (contattare il servizio di assistenza locale).
8. Il completamento della migrazione richiederà alcuni minuti. Al termine, verrà visualizzato il seguente messaggio:

Se si desidera ripristinare i JTP esistenti, utilizzare la seguente procedura:

1. In Prinergy Administrator dal menu JTP, scegliere "Inverti JTP di output"
2. Fare clic su OK nel messaggio seguente per avviare l'inversione sui JTP esistenti

• Al termine, verrà visualizzato un messaggio che indica che l'inversione è stata completata.

Note:

• Verranno migrati anche i JTP delle prove di stampa Insite.
• Diamond Screening e Megadot Screening sono sempre disattivati nel JTP di prova esteso

Un nouveau JTP Extended Printer (Type de JTP : système d'épreuve étendu) est disponible dans Prinergy 9.0. Ce JTP est destiné à être utilisé pour toutes les sorties épreuve et plaque finale.

5. Cliquez sur OK pour poursuivre la migration
6. Les JTP Print Console et Expose ne sont pas pris en charge pour une utilisation avec le JTP Extended Printer. S'il est détecté, le message suivant s'affiche
7. Cliquez sur OK pour continuer ou sur Annuler pour arrêter la migration. Si vous choisissez OK, vérifiez si vos épreuves et plaques utilisent des RIP différents, ce qui n'est PAS recommandé. Il est recommandé de convertir d'abord vos JTP Expose et Print Console en sortie TIFF (contactez votre service technique régional).
8. La migration prendra quelques instants. Une fois la migration terminée, le message suivant s'affiche :

Si vous souhaitez revenir aux anciens JTP, procédez comme suit :

1. Dans le menu JTP de Prinergy Administrator, choisissez « Annuler des JTP de sortie »
2. Cliquez sur OK dans le message suivant pour lancer le retour aux anciens JTP

• Une fois l'opération terminée, vous verrez un message indiquant que l'annulation est terminée.

Remarques :

• Les fichiers JTP d'épreuves Insite seront également migrés.
• Les systèmes de tramage Diamond et Megadot sont toujours désactivés dans le JTP d'épreuve étendu

Un nuevo JTP de impresora ampliado (tipo de JTP: Dispositivo de pruebas ampliado) está disponible en Prinergy 9.0. Este JTP está diseñado para utilizarse en todas las salidas de prueba y de planchas finales.

El nuevo RIP es un componente de 64 bits que no es compatible con el RIP Adobe CPSI incluido en el JTP de impresora heredado, por lo que CPSI no está disponible en el nuevo JTP de impresora ampliado.

Si elige Aceptar, tenga en cuenta que las pruebas y las planchas van a utilizar distintos Rip y le aconsejamos que NO haga esto. Se recomienda convertir primero los JTP de Expose y Print Console a salida TIFF (póngase en contacto con el departamento de servicio técnico regional).
8. La migración tardará unos minutos en completarse; una vez finalizada, verá este mensaje:

Si desea volver a los JTP heredados, utilice el siguiente procedimiento:

1. En el menú JTP de Prinergy Administrator, seleccione "Revertir JTP de salida"
2. Haga clic en Aceptar en el siguiente mensaje para iniciar la reversión a los JTP heredados

• Una vez completado, verá un mensaje que indica que la reversión ha finalizado.
