Material and Device information for the processes

Associating process templates with materials and devices for reporting purposes is optional and can be useful if you apply meaningful and unique names. However, it helps the MIS software to process the data if you use exactly the same MIS names and codes for the material and devices.
The details that can be included in reports depend on various factors:

  • Built-in production reports provide only a material's name and do not include its details.
  • If an MIS connector is used, the JDF data that Business Link sends includes the device names, material names, and any material details that are mapped to a process template that was used in a job.
