You can output a file that will help you mount the slugs in the correct positions on the carrier. This file includes the die lines, slugs and their IDs, and registration marks and their IDs. You can then print this file in the actual size of the corrugated job on a CTP device or an inkjet printer.

  1. From the File menu, select Output Die.
  2. In the Output Die dialog box, set the following parameters:
    1. In the File type box, select the desired file format for the output die file (TIFF, EPS, or CF2).
If you want to include the non-printed separations (such as the die separation), you must select the TIFF file format.
    2. If you selected TIFF as the file format in step a, in the Output resolution box, select the desired resolution for the output die file (2400 or 2540) according to the resolution of the device you want to print the file on (an inkjet printer or a CTP device).
    3. If you want to rotate the output file, in the Rotate box, select the desired degree of rotation.
    4. If you want to flip the output file, in the Flip box, select Horizontal or Vertical.
    5. If you want to include slugs, registration marks, carrier lines, or first to knife line, in the Include area, select the relevant check box.
    6. If you selected TIFF as the file type in step 2a and you want to include any non-printed separations—for example, a separation that includes fold lines, cut lines, and/or registration marks created in Pandora software—in the Include area, select the Nonprinted separations check box, and, in the table, select the separations you want to include.
    7. If you want to include a mounting file for a specific mounting machine, select the Create mounting file for check box, and, from the menu, select the mounting machine.
    8. Click Save.
    9. In the Save dialog box, browse to the location where you want to place the die file, and click Save.
  3. If you want to print the die file on a device with lower resolution than 2400 (see step 2b), after you complete this procedure, open the TIFF die file that you created here and continue with the procedure in Creating a file for content proofing
