  1. From the File menu, select Sleeve Planning > Setup.

  2. In the Sleeve Planning Setup dialog box, click , and then type a name for the preset.

  3. Define the following parameters for the preset:
    1. Repeat length: The circumference of the sleeve
    2. Sleeve diameter: The outside diameter of the sleeve
    3. Sleeve width: The width (length) of the sleeve being used. The TIFF assembler Plus software uses this to determine how to center the image on the sleeve and for positioning the plate for the mounting guide.

    4. Media thickness: The thickness of the flexographic plate material being used. This value is used to adjust the size of the cut data to create a proper amount of gap when wrapped around the sleeve.

    5. Center offset: Used to shift the image and plate across the sleeve away from the center position. Type a positive value to shift the image and plate away from the tailstock. Type a negative value to shift the image and plate toward the tailstock.

    6. Overimpression: The difference between the specified diameter of the bare sleeve and the actual diameter. If the actual diameter is different from the specified value, the plate length, when cut, will be too long or too short. When you mount the plate on the sleeve, you will not have the correct plate gap. TIFF Assembler Plus uses the value you type here to make adjustments. Enter the difference between the actual diameter and the specified diameter, divided by two.
