You can compare TIFF files and see where they differ. You can compare 1-bit TIFF files, 8-bit TIFF files, and composite TIFF files (all separations of a job with the separations of another job).

TIFF Assembler Plus will display a comparison image of the two files that you select.

  • The difference is displayed in blue for the first file and in red for the second file.
  •  The identical data is displayed in gray.
  • The level of difference in percentage values is shown on the lower bar of the comparison image window.

You can control the tolerance of the comparison—that is, you can decide at what level of difference the comparison should run and at what level the software notifies you that the compared files are identical. To change the tolerance, set the  Comparison tolerance in Advanced preferences

  1. Click Open
  2. In the Open dialog box, select one of the TIFF files that you want to compare and click Open.
  3. Click Compare .
  4. In the Open dialog box, select the other TIFF file that you want to compare to and click Compare.
The software displays the comparison image.
  5. To save the comparison, click Save.
