    2. Select Start > Programs > Administrative Tools > Active Directory Users and Computers.
    3. On the Tree tab, expand the domain node.
    4. Select the folder that contains the Araxi service account.
The default account name is Araxi and the default folder path is Users\Araxi.
    5. If you are recreating the Araxi service user account, right-click the old Araxi service account, select Delete, and click Yes.
    6. Right-click the folder where you want to store the new Araxi service account, select New > User, and follow the prompts. Clear the User must change password at next logon check box.

Important: In the Computer Name Changes dialog box, do not change the computer name, because there are many references to the server name.
    4. In the Member of area, select Domain.
    5. Type the domain name, and click OK.
    6. In the Domain Username and Password dialog box, type the name and password of an account that has permission to join the domain, and click OK.
You may need to contact the network administrator to obtain the name and password.
  3. Restart the Prinergy server.
  4. Log on to the Prinergy server using the domain user name and password.
  5. Add the domain Araxi service account to the local Admin group.
  6. Log off of the server.
  7. Log on to the Prinergy primary server as Administrator, and select Start > Settings > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services.
The Services window appears. You can now set logon rights for the Prinergy service accounts.
Important: You must make the same changes to the service accounts on all servers in the Prinergy system that use a Windows Server operating system.
  8. In the Services window, perform the following steps to set logon rights for the Prinergy Araxi service account:
    1. In the right pane, right-click Araxi, and select Properties.

    3. In the Password and Confirm Password boxes, type the password of the Araxi service user account, and click OK.
  9. In the Services window, perform the following steps to set logon rights for the Prinergy backup service account:

    1. In the right pane, right-click Araxifilereplicator, and select Properties.

    2. On the Tree tab, expand Local Policies, and click User Rights Assignment.
A list of user rights appears in the right pane.
    3. In the right pane, right-click Act as part of the operating system, and select Security or Properties.
    4. Click Add or Add User or Group. In the Name list, select the domain Araxi service account, click Add, and click OK.
The Local Security Policy Setting dialog box appears, showing the Araxi service account in the Assigned To box.
    5. In the right pane, right-click Log on as a service, and select Security or Properties.
    6. Click Add or Add User or Group. In the Name list, select the domain Araxi service account, click Add, and click OK.
The Local Security Policy Setting dialog box appears, showing the Araxi service account in the Assigned To box.
    7. Click OK.
If you are unable to assign either of these rights to the domain Araxi service account, or the rights are not available the next day, the domain security policy may be overriding the local computer security settings.

If this occurs, have the customer's IT department give the domain Araxi user the appropriate domain policing user rights:

      1. On the domain controller, open the Group Policy Object Editor, and select Computer Configuration > Windows Settings > Security Settings > Local Policies > User Rights Assignment.
You can also open this dialog box by selecting Administrative Tools > Domain Security Policy > Security Settings > User Rights Assignment.
      2. Assign the appropriate rights.
      3. On the local computer, open a command-prompt window, and type gpupdate.
This forces the new domain security policy to update on the local computer.
