- Confirm that the newly added share is accessible:
- Use Windows Explorer to locate the share on the tertiary server.
- If you are not logged onto the Windows operating system as the Araxi service user, you will be prompted for a user name and password. Type the Araxi service user name and password.
- Make sure that all of the subfolders in the share are visible in Windows Explorer.
- Create a folder in the share.
- Create a file in the folder that you created.
- Delete the file that you just created.
- Delete the folder that you just created.
- Test the system:
- Create a job on the tertiary server, add some input files, and refine the files.
- Confirm that the resource forks of the files are created properly. For example, double-click a PDF file to ensure that it opens in the Adobe Acrobat software.
- Test as much of the system as possible by refining, outputting proofs, and plating.
- If you intend to use the tertiary server for archiving, archive, purge, and retrieve a job from the tertiary server.
