- Verify that the server is running Prinergy 4.0.2.1 or later.
- Start Regedit and locate
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Creo/Araxi/Settings/Default/SCAL
. - Create a new string value in SCAL, and name it SCAL_CalibCurvePath.
For value data, type D:\JobData\Rip_Output_Values
.
Where D
= local drive, and \JobData\Rip_Output_Values
= desired location for RIP output .csv
files. - Create new string value in SCAL, and name it SCAL_CalibCurvePctInterval. For data, enter the desired percentage. You would enter 0.4% if you wanted to record 256 grey levels or 1.0% if you wanted 100 values (each percent). It is possible to enter a very small value, such as 0.001, but this is probably more precision than you will need, and it would produce a file with 10,000 rows of data points.
- After setting the registry values, stop and start all printer JTPs. Once the path and interval are defined, values will output to the target folder, when Harmony curves are applied at output.
- The file will output as
.csv
and you can open it with Excel. Separate curves will be created and identified by different Harmony curve name(s) and colors. The final output values file will be named to identify the plate curve and print curve used, and will also identify a minimum dot size, if used.
