  1. In Job Manager, select the Step and Repeats view, and make note of the page position numbers in the imported layout.
  2. From the Tools menu, select Automated Page Assignment Editor.
    Note that the window now contains entries for every artwork position, based on the imported layout plus the APA Rules established from job XX_APA_Range.
  3. Using the Shift key, select all nine rows appearing in the APA Editor that are connected to the imported layout.
    Click Remove. Do not remove the three rules that you created as part of the XX_APA_Range job.
  4. In the first row with the Red file name, change the Position from 1..3 to 1, 4, 7.
  5. In the second row with the Green file name, change the Position from 4..6 to 2, 5, 8.
  6. In the third row with the Blue file name, change the Position from 7..9 to 3, 6, 9.
  7. Close the APA Editor. When asked, select Yes to save the APA file.
  8. In the Save APA File As... dialog box, click Save to save the file as Job.v2.apa.
    This file will be automatically saved to the Control folder located in your job folder (XX_APA_Noncontiguous).
