Working with a SIF file

When you first open DotShop Composer, the screen instance file (SIF) DotShop.sif is automatically created in the %ARAXIHOME%\CreoAraxi\bin folder. It is populated with screen systems and calibration curves that are licensed for your system. When next opened, DotShop Composer looks in its folder for the saved SIF file and displays its contents.
Note: The SIF file is always called DotShop.sif so that DotShop can recognize it.

You can edit, create, or open SIF files in another location by performing the following:.

1. Edit the SIF file:
   1. From the DotShop Composer File menu, click Save. 
   2. Add, edit, and delete screen instances in the file.
2. Create a new SIF file:
   1. From the DotShop Composer File menu, click New.
   2. Add and edit screen instances.
3. Open another SIF file in another location:
   1. From the DotShop Composer File menu, select Open.
   2. In the Specify Location of DotShop Screen Instance File dialog box, locate the DotShopt.sif that file you want to use.
   3. Click Open to open the SIF file.
   4. In the DotShop Composer dialog box, make any changes that you want to the screen instances.
   5. From the DotShop Composer File menu, click Save.
