DotShop lets you view objects and their screens in a PDF file.

  1. Open a composite PDF file in Adobe Acrobat.
The Acrobat window displays the contents of the PDF file.
  2. In Acrobat, click the Prinergy DotShop button on the toolbar to start DotShop.
    Note:
    • In Acrobat 8 or 9, you can also access DotShop by selecting Advanced > Kodak Tools > Prinergy DotShop.
    • In Acrobat X, select View > Tools > Plug-In Kodak Tools and then select the Prinergy DotShop icon from the Plug-In Kodak Tools section of the Tools panel on the right.

The first time that you open DotShop, the plug-in checks the primary servers on your network for a server with the screening license for DotShop. Once DotShop finds a primary server with a screening license available for use, the server name is recorded in the DotShop Preferences dialog box.
Once a DotShop license is obtained:

    • The Acrobat window shows the rendered contents of the PDF file. Use it to view the PDF file, select objects, delete all or selected screens, or to undo and redo actions.
    • The Properties Editor shows screen sets, calibration curves, and colorant screen angles. Use the Properties Editor dialog box to change and apply screen instances in the PDF file, and to map colorants to screening angles. The SIF file populates the Properties Editor dialog box with screen instances for you to choose from. Typically, your system administrator will prepare this file for you.
