This topic describes the windows in the Prinergy VPS software. Use the items on the Window menu to show, hide, and arrange windows and palettes.
Main window
The main window is the window in which you view the image. Actions such as zooming in and out and turning separations on and off affect the image in this window. Measuring is done here. In the main window, use the scroll bars or the Pan tool to move the image.
Separations palette
The Separations palette shows which separation files are open in the main window and which separations are currently turned on. Use the Separations palette to:
- Change transparency
- Change ink opacity and laydown
- temporarily change ink color
- Display the preview file name for a separation
Navigation palette
The Navigation palette shows which part of the image is currently displayed in the main window. Use the Navigation palette to orient yourself, to move the selection rectangle (which in turn moves the image in the main window), or move and resize the image by drawing a marquee.
Measurement palette
The Measurement palette shows the results of a measurement, as well as the current position of the pointer relative to the upper-left corner of the press sheet. The Measurement palette is automatically displayed when you select Measure Tool from the Tools menu. You can also display the Measurement palette by choosing Show Measurement Palette from the Window menu.
