Prinergy VPS hardware and OS requirements are tied to the client OS requirements of Prinergy Workshop.
Supported client operating systems are listed in the table below.

Supported file types
The Prinergy VPS software will open preview files that have the file name extension .VPS or .PRV and are produced by Prinergy and iMPAct software.
The Prinergy VPS software will also open high-resolution TIFF files with a file name extension of .TIF, as long as they conform internally to the structure of a preview file, that is, they were created via Output to Virtual Proof for Prinergy or AllegroTIFF for iMPAct.
Advanced TIFF tags for versioned files
To view versioned jobs correctly, select Advanced TIFF Tags in the File Format section of an output process template when creating files for the Prinergy VPS software. Otherwise, the version pop-up menu in the Separations palette, as well as the Version Info dialog box, will not appear when a versioned job is opened.
Resolution
Generally, the lowest useful resolution of preview files is about 150 dpi. The Prinergy VPS software can handle 2400 dpi files without problems.
