Page tree

The Delete existing traps check box is available on the Trap Page dialog boxes, and its counterpart, Delete traps in selection, is available on the Trap Selection dialog boxes.

  • When these check boxes are selected—this removes all previous traps, so that any newly generated traps can replace them.
  • When these check boxes are cleared—this leaves any previous traps in place, so that any new traps are added instead of replacing existing traps.

Note: When you change an ink type and try to re-trap without selecting Delete existing traps or Delete traps in selection, a message appears, warning you that you have changed an ink type and that existing traps may no longer be valid. You can delete all existing traps, or continue without deleting existing traps.
