Check what you see in the Acrobat window against the object properties in the Properties Editor (or Viewer). Change the magnification or the focus in the Acrobat window to improve your view.

For a selected object, the Properties Editor (or Viewer) shows:

  • The object icon in the left pane
  • The object type (such as image, masked image, filled object, gradient, text object, or stroked object)
  • The object count (objects are grouped and counted according to similar characteristics)
  • Neutral density
  • Color swatches and separations (colors shown are median colors) with CMYK percentages and spot colors.
    • A ~nn.n value appears in a color separations cell for an object, where nn.n is a value between 0 and 100 percent. This is the tint value for an image or gradient.
    • A #nn.n value appears in a color separations cell for an object, where nn.n is a value between 0 and 100 percent. This is the mask and tint value for a complex bitmap.
    • An nn.n value appears in a color separations cell for an object, where nn.n is a value between 0 and 100 percent. This is the tint of the separation color.
  • Overprint status (on/off)
