  2. From the menu that appears, select Save As.
  3. In the Save As dialog box that appears, in the Preset Name box, type a name for your preset.
    Notes:

    • It is recommended that you use a unique and meaningful name for your preset (maybe based on the settings it includes),so that you can easily find your preset for future use.
    • The asterisk character ‘*’ cannot be used in a preset name.
    • Double spaces or more result in one space in a preset name.
    • If a name that you type for the new preset already exists for a different preset, a message will appear informing you so and asking if you wish to overwrite the existing preset.

  4. Click Save.
The preset is saved on the Prinergy server and is added to the Preset list in the Digital Job Ticker Editor.

Important guidelines when using presets:

  • Since the Name setting (which refers to the job name) in the Digital Job Ticket Editor is saved with the preset, it is recommended that you update the job name setting to the current name of the job you are submitting (Digital Job Ticket Editor > General tab > Name box) so that the correct name appears in the Device Track queues.
  • If you use a preset with a different device than the one it was created for, all the settings defined for this preset are compared to the capabilities of the current device. If there are settings in the preset that are not valid for the current device, the preset will be placed in an Edited State by automatically changing the invalid settings to valid default values. When a preset enters the Edited State, its name turns blue and is preceded by an asterisk. On the Preset Adjustments tab, located in the left pane of the Digital Job Ticket Editor, you can see the differences and also adjust them to suit the current device capabilities.
