HP Indigo JDF Ticket Creator is needed to create JDF templates used in the Prinergy to HP SmartStream Production Pro DFE workflow.
Download the HP Indigo JDF Ticket Creator installer from the Kodak services and support portal.

  1. Install HP Indigo JDF Ticket Creator on your Mac or PC Client machine.
    • On a Mac: Double-click the file HP_Indigo_JDF_Ticket_Creator_Mac_install.zip to extract it. Double-click the installer to start the installation.
    • On a PC: Double-click the file HP_Indigo_JDF_Ticket_Creator_PC.exe to start the installer.
  2. When the Welcome screen appears, click Next.
  3. Select I accept the terms of the License Agreement and click Next to continue.
  4. On the Choose Install Set pane, select Kodak Prinergy integration, and then click Next.
    The Pre-Installation Summary screen appears.
  5. Click Next again to start the installation and click Done when installation has completed.
    • The Mac version of the HP Indigo JDF Ticket Creator software can be found at /Applications/Hewlett-Packard/HP Indigo JDF Ticket Creator.
    • The Windows version of the HP Indigo JDF Ticket Creator software can be found at Start > All Programs > Hewlett-Packard > HP Indigio JDF Ticket Creator > HP Indigio JDF Ticket Creator.

Use the HP Indigo JDF Ticket Creator

  1. Start the HP Indigo JDF Ticket Creator.
  2. Select Settings > Set ticket location to set up a location to save the JDF tickets created.
  3. In the Select a default ticket location window, select the location to store the JDF ticket.
    Note: You can also map a drive to the primary server's DigitalPrintTemplates share to save JDF tickets to so Prinergy can pick up the JDF ticket after it is saved.
  4. Select Settings > DFE Platform and select the DFE platform that is connected to Prinergy server.
  5. Select Settings > JMF URL to enter the DFE JMF address. The JDF Ticket Creator sends enquiries to this URL address.
  6. In the JMF submission URL window, enter the DFE machine name or IP address as in the following screenshot:
  7. Select Settings > Output Format, and then select JDF [XML JDF Ticket] as the output format.
  8. Select Settings > Query DFE Settings to add the DFE settings to the HP Indigo JDF Ticket Creator.
    Note: The query will take some time to finish. During this time JDF Ticket Creator does not respond to mouse clicks.
  9. After the query is completed, perform a quick check to see if the information copied is correct:
    1. Click the Substrate tab and select Add Substrate.
    2. In the Substrate Properties window, click the Substrate Name drop-down menu and verify that the substrate defined on the DFE is listed.
  10. Set up the JDF ticket information as required.
  11. When done, click Create Ticket to save the JDF ticket. Provide a name for the ticket and click Save to save it.
    Note: If saving the ticket to the local drive, copy the ticket to the \\<server name>\DigitalPrintTemplates share for Prinergy to be able to read it.
