If you are using Pandora to create step and repeats, you can enter the distortion factor in Pandora, and Prinergy will honor the distortion.

Entering distortion compensation values in Pandora

To use distortion, you must enable Apply Scaling from Layout in the Layout area of output process templates, and select either Raster or Vector as the Scaling Type.

Apply scaling from layout in output process template

If you use Pandora, this is often the preferred method. Specifying the distortion in Pandora provides a way of hard-coding the distortion factor into the job and removing the possibility of error when platemakers are outputting the final TIFFs. There are many different distortion factors required for each printing plant, and you must manually enter the distortion factors each time you make a TIFF, because it isn't practical to have separate process templates for each different distortion. By setting the distortion factor in Pandora, the process becomes automated and consistent, with no chance of operator error at time of output. The good thing about using Layout distortion is that it can be overridden, if something changes, like the plate type or stickyback type. You can override Pandora distortion and manually enter a vector or raster scaling amount in the output process template.
