Secure Links allow you to send an email link to an Customer that will allow them to Upload Files or perform Smart Review on pages in a Job, without having to have a User or Customer account created on the system.

Secure Links are useful for one-time or infrequent customers. Secure Links save time for system administrators as they don't require the overhead of creating Customers and Users, in order to allow them to upload files or perform Smart Review. Additionally, sys admins will not have to coach Customers on how to log in to PRINERGY Access, or how to create Jobs and upload files as a customer user.

To create a Secure Link, first create a Job (or open an existing Job) that will contain the Uploads and Smart Review pages. All Secure Links are associated with a specific Job, and each Job is associated with a specific Customer, so you could consider making a generic Customer for Secure Link Uploads, and use a specific Job for each target user.

With the Job open, click on the Secure Link button to bring up the Secure Link dialog.

  • The Job Name will be automatically populated from the name of the open job.
  • Under the Display pop up, select whether the target user will have the rights for File Upload, Smart Review, or both.
  • Assign review Rights to the User:
    • User cannot approve or review pages
    • User can review pages
    • User can approve pages
  • Under Options, check the checkbox if you wish to allow the user to View Preflight Data in File Uploader and Smart Review
  • Select an Expiry Date for the Secure Link.
  • Enter a Subject (optional) for the email link
  • Enter a Message (optional) for the email link
  • Under Email click the "+" symbol to add an email address line, or click "-" to remove a line.
    • Under To, click directly in the email address entry box to enter an email address, Mobile phone number or specify a Salutation

The target user will receive an email with links that take them directly to the File Uploader or Smart Review pages for the designated Job.

When they go to Upload a file, the target user will see the File Upload Sheet associated with the Job and be able to enter Job or contact information.

Files can be added individually by clicking the button, or a set of files contained in a folder can be added in one operation by clicking the button.

Alternatively, files can be added by dragging and dropping into the Upload pane.

Once the file is appears in the Upload list, choose an appropriate Workflow Pipeline from the Process With dropdown (if one has been assigned), or leave Process With set to None, and press the Start button to initiate upload and processing.
