Roles are used to manage what users can or cannot do on a PRINERGY Access system.

Roles are managed under the PRINERGY Portal Administration tab.

There are two types of Roles:

  • POD Roles (PRINERGY Portal Roles)

  • PA Access (PRINERGY Access Roles)

POD Roles permissions are primarily applicable to PRINERGY Portal Analytics Services, but are also used to to allow Users to act as Administrators and create Customers and Users, and to create and assign Roles. The minimum permissions that a PRINERGY Access User must have under POD Roles is the PRINERGY Access: View permission.

PA Roles specifically enabling permissions for PRINERGY Access File and Job management, Downloads, Smart Review and Approvals.

You can define as many roles as required to support your workflows.

To create or edit a POD Role:

  1. Go to the Administration tab in PRINERGY Portal

  2. Select POD Roles
  3. Click the Add button to create a new Role or select a Role name and double-click on it or press the ellipse icon to edit an existing Role.
  4. In the Create/Edit Role panel that appears select the permissions suitable to the Role.

To create or edit a PA Role:

  1. Go to the PRINERGY Portal Administration tab

  2. Select PA Roles
  3. Click the symbol to add a create a new Role, or select an existing role to Edit it
  4. In the Properties panel on the right, enter a Role Name or edit the existing name
  5. Select from the available options to define permissions for the Role

  6. Click the Save button
